The Katori cutting board is made from titanium, a non-porous, lightweight and corrosion-resistant material. Its smooth surface does not absorb liquids, odours or food colouring, which limits bacterial growth compared with wooden or plastic boards. It will not crack or shed particles during cutting.
Because titanium is hypoallergenic and the board is uncoated, no substances transfer to food. The board is suitable for preparing meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and cheese, and can also be used for serving at the table.
